Often times players already on the Bills roster have to sell prospective free agents on the game day atmosphere at Ralph Wilson stadium on game day. In many cases the players tell the free agent it has to be experienced to be understood. Fortunately with Mark Anderson they didn’t have to try to describe it.
Anderson experienced it first hand. Granted, he was a member of the New England Patriots at the time, but last season in Week 3, Buffalo’s improbable comeback against New England, which included a game-winning field goal as time expired, gave Anderson a glimpse as to just how overwhelming the atmosphere can be inside Ralph Wilson Stadium. It’s something he recalled as he reached the final stages of his decision to sign with Buffalo.
“It’s funny because the last time I was here I was with New England at the time and the fans and that whole stadium was rocking and it was crazy,” Anderson told Buffalobills.com. “We lost that game and I remember walking off the field and wishing we could’ve won that game, but the Bills played so hard that game. Now the tables are turned and I’m on the Buffalo side of the ball now and hopefully we can get some more victories.”
