Chances were there to move up
Posted by on April 26, 2012 – 8:45 pmBills GM Buddy Nix said the phone was ringing as other teams were calling as the picks came off the board in the top 10, but Buffalo didn’t want to move up and surrender picks.
“We had opportunities to move up more than move down, and so we listened. We just didn’t want to give up draft picks. I never do like doing that. I think you swap two guys for one and if you miss on that one it costs you dearly. We did not entertain moving down. And then we had some calls to move up but didn’t do it.”
Buffalo sat in place at 10 and obviously took Stephon Gilmore. We’ll have more on Buffalobills.com.
