Bills free agent acquisition Mario Williams likes to let his play do the talking. That’s why he’s eager to get started as Bills OTAs open this afternoon.
Appearing on the FAN590 in Toronto this morning, Williams is focused on a couple of key elements of the game in the OTA practice setting.
“Fundamentals,” he said. “The biggest thing is getting back out there shaking the cobwebs and being comfortable with the right fits and being responsive to whenever you get different looks and formations.”
Back in a 4-3 defensive front, Williams believes Dave Wannstedt’s scheme will cater more to his strengths as a pass rusher.
“I know Dave is an awesome coach and I’m really excited about being here and playing with these guys,” he said. “It’s about getting the terminology down and understanding the plays and what they want. I’m ready to get going.”
Buffalo’s first OTA practice of the week gets started at 12:35 this afternoon. We’ll have full written and video coverage on Buffalobills.com.
