T.J. Graham is taking advantage of every bit of time he can prior to report day for training camp on July 24th. Rookies under the new CBA can work out on their own at the team facility, but at this point in time they need to be under contract. That’s partly why Graham signed his rookie deal Monday (today). Here’s what Graham is working on between now and the time he needs to report to St. John Fisher.
“I have that itch (to start camp), but I know I have to take my time and master these plays and I’m going to take advantage of these next couple of weeks before training camp so I can be ready,” Graham told Buffalobills.com. “I’m athletically gifted I just need to get my mental game right.”
To accomplish that Graham has kept his nose in his playbook and is trying every means possible to get his play recall to the point where he knows it as soon as it’s out of Ryan Fitzpatrick’s mouth.
“From rookie minicamp to OTAs to minicamp was a process where I had to figure out things that were kind of complicated,” said Graham. “I had to relate it back to stuff in my college offense and what I knew then. So for the past couple of weeks I’ve been going through my plays and figure out ways to recall it so it makes sense to me. We’ll see how it all comes together.”
