He got six starts last year to show he was a capable playmaking talent in the NFL, and in filling in for an injured Fred Jackson he proved that. Going into 2012 Spiller doesn’t concern himself with whether his role or chances with the football are going to increase, but rather how much more he can improve his level of performance this fall.
“You just continue to build,” said Spiller. “You want to forget what happened because this is a new year, but you still want to try to carry some of that momentum. See what I have done well, see what I have done bad and build from that. This is a whole new season for me so everything that I did in those six weeks is behind me. I am looking forward to this first preseason game against Washington.”
That preseason game is less than two weeks away.
