New RB limited
Posted by on August 2, 2012 – 11:34 amNewly signed RB Zach Brown will be on the practice field this afternoon, but he won’t be able to do everything.
As part of the new CBA, by rule players that have not been with a club at the start of training camp cannot practice in pads for three days. That means that this afternoon and for Friday’s practice Brown will only be able to do individual positions drills and any other non-contact work. On Saturday he’ll be able to put the pads on.
It’s somewhat of a safety measure designed to get a player that hasn’t been in the practice setting up to speed to reduce the risk of injury.
