Being named the starter at left tackle was one of Cordy Glenn’s goals heading into his first NFL season. On Monday he was given that job by head coach Chan Gailey. So one would think he’d be over the moon about the news, but the low key Glenn just took the news and moved on.
“I’m just here trying to get better,” he said. “I’m just working hard really. I’m not reading anything into it, I’m just trying to get better. I know what I’m trying to do, so I’ll just keep working. It doesn’t mean taking a day off and just keep doing what I’ve been doing.”
When I asked him if he’s at least happy he landed the starting role Glenn wouldn’t even crack a smile.
“It’s a business so I mean I’m just really ready to play football honestly,” Glenn said.
Glenn clearly has a one track mind when it comes to his job, and maybe that’s best in a season where he’s going to be depended upon heavily to protect Ryan Fitzpatrick’s blind side and keep the Bills passing game humming.
