The longest week of the year
Posted by on September 3, 2012 – 3:32 pmThe Bills hit the practice field this afternoon after getting Sunday off, and then they’re off the field again tomorrow, in what one veteran calls “the longest week of the year.”
Defensive Tackle Kyle Williams told us today the break between the final preseason game (last Thursday) and the first regular season game (this coming Sunday) make for a long week.
“This is the longest week of the year,” Williams says. “You go from playing on a Thursday, the last preseason game, and then you’re off the next day with the roster getting set, then you work a day, off a day, then you work a day, you’re off a day, and then you get into the regular game week. It’s a long week, but it’s a good week. We’re ready to get started. I’m sure the intensity will get going a little bit today, and we’ll be focused on the Jets.”
