C.J. Spiller is well aware that his early season success is likely to make him the focal point of every opposing defense’s game plan for the Bills offense. He’s ready to handle it.
“I’m pretty sure they’re probably going to put more guys in the box, but I can’t let that get to me and still just be prepared for it,” said Spiller. “If they do then they do, but I don’t think we’re going to abandon the run if they do put a lot of guys and if they do it’ll just open it up for our receivers.”
And that’s what Stevie Johnson says the receiving corps has to be prepared for.
“Coach Gailey is great at making those pass plays and putting people in places where we can succeed on the outside,” said Johnson. “Lately it’s been a running attack and we’ve got to adjust to that. That’s what is getting us going so let’s ride that wave. We’ll see how long it’ll be until defenses start switching up and then we have to step up as receivers and tight ends.”
