Although I’m not much for video games, I heard this week that EA Sports bumped up my Madden 13 ratings (from an 80 to an 86 overall and now 98 elusiveness!).
Surprisingly none of my teammates said anything to me about it. I saw my twitter feed blowing up when it was announced, but usually a guy like Stevie Johnson (he plays a lot) would have made it known. My followers did the job this time – thanks everyone!
It just goes to show you that you never know who’s watching you play. I don’t get caught up in it too much though … It’s just a video game at the end of the day.
Without a doubt though, I think the success I’ve been blessed with so far this season has caught my daughter Shania’s attention. She was happy when I scored a TD against the Jets in the first game. Then, before our first home game at Ralph Wilson Stadium last week, she came and told me I needed to score another touchdown. Even when we are on the road like we are this week, I always try and talk to her the day before the game to see how her day was. I’ll let her know that I have a game on Sunday and she’ll say “Go score a touchdown for me!”
I take that to heart … that’s why I play the way I play.
