The Bills defense saw it on tape. And they saw a lot of New England’s fast-paced up-tempo no-huddle offense in Sunday’s loss.
In the Buffalo locker room, Bills defenders say they were ready for the no-huddle attack.
“We practiced against that,” said Bills linebacker Nick Barnett. “It’s challenging, because you have to get the personnel, they’re moving personnel around. But I thought that wasn’t the problem. We gotta be able to make plays on the run, and then let the chips lay where they lay after that. We cant allow anybody to come in here and run for that many yards and be as successful as they did.”
Linebacker Bryan Scott gave New England credit for dictating the tempo of play.
“We knew they were going to do that, we worked on that all week,” Scott said. “We prepared for it, we knew that was their game plan. They change the tempo, they do a great job doing that.”
