THIS DAY IN BILLS HISTORY
October 3, 1996 — BRUCE SMITH NAMED AFC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF MONTH
Bills DE Bruce Smith was honored as the AFC defensive player of the month for September.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
TE Scott Chandler (via kiss98.5 10/3/12)
On traveling to the west coast for the next two games and adjusting to the time difference:
“It is a lot easier going East to West then it is West to East. It is like we are playing a game later in the day, so it is not that big of a deal for us. The hardest thing to do is get yourself to go to sleep early out there. It is not too bad of an adjustment. The six hour plane ride is the worst part but other than that, I do not really see that as an excuse for us.”

Bills P Shawn Powell took a photo with students from Buffalo Public School #89 during a visit from the Bills Toyota Rookie Club at the Buffalo Museum of Science. The rookies and the students saw the new exhibit at the museum, ‘The Science of Sports.’
