While the Bills would’ve gladly taken a win by a healthy margin on the scoreboard, Bills head coach Chan Gailey believes the kind of win they posted over Arizona Sunday is one that can positively impact the team again and again.
“The things that you can learn from that, now you can stand up in front of the team as a coach and say, ‘Hey you’ve been down and you’ve been through the ups and downs. You’ve handled the pressure of being ahead, being behind, fumbling on the first play of the game and still coming back to win,’” said Gailey in his weekly appearance on WGR Sportsradio 550. ”Things happened in that ball game and they still won, you can talk about those things and they remember, ‘Yeah we did do that.’
“It becomes a confidence builder for your football team. Once they’ve done it and they remember that they did it, it’s easier.”
