Fred anxious to make plays

The 2012 season did not get off to the start Fred Jackson had hoped for. An LCL knee injury in Week 1 prevented him from being productive in the early stages of the season, much like he was in 2011. But finally approaching full health again, Jackson is anxious to get his game back in top form.

“I made it out of the game good,” said Jackson of last Sunday’s game at Arizona. “No setbacks or anything like that. I was able to come out of the brace and all went well. I feel good now, just typical football soreness. I’m excited about that and hopefully can continue to improve this week.”

Jackson is a bit frustrated he hasn’t been able to deliver the big plays he did at this time last season for the Bills, but he feels he can get back to doing that now that he’s very close to 100 percent.

I’m not making the plays that I did for us at the beginning. Some of it has to do with the injury but for us to be as successful as we want to be I have to go out there and start making some more plays for us,” he said. “We’ve gotten other guys that have stepped up and made plays for us. Any time that you have that it definitely takes pressure off of you but you know I want to be out there making plays for my team so I am going to do everything that I can.”
