Spence makes progress

Bills DL Spencer Johnson did considerably more in practice Thursday than he did in his first day back to work Wednesday, leaving head coach Chan Gailey encouraged about the defensive lineman’s chances for being available for Sunday’s game against Tennessee.

“Spencer looked good,” said Gailey. “He practiced today and took a lot of reps. It was good progress.”

Johnson was still listed as limited in practice Thursday. He’s missed the past two games with an ankle injury.
