BDC 11/21: LB Lloyd Added to Practice Squad

DAILY REPORT

–The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has signed LB Greg Lloyd to the Practice Squad and released OL Reggie Stephens. Lloyd entered the NFL as a seventh-round (237th overall) draft selection of Philadelphia in 2011. The 6-1, 247-pound Connecticut product spent the first 11 weeks of the 2011 season on the Eagles’ Practice Squad before being promoted to the 53-man roster on November 29th. He was acquired via trade by Indianapolis on August 3, 2012 and was released by the Colts prior to the regular season. He will wear No. 59. Lloyd started 23 of 34 games played at Connecticut and recorded 177 tackles, 3.0 sacks and one interception.

 

–Buffalo Bills players and coaches donated more than $40,000 to help feed more than 900 families pre-selected by the Food Bank of WNY for the Thanksgiving holiday. Bills owner Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Mary, kicked off the donation process with a $10,000 gift.Yesterday, players and volunteers handed out food packages and visited with the families.

A: Any receiver that has ever played the game would have been proud of that catch. That was an amazing catch. The distance that he covered…You watch it on game tape, not TV, but you watch it on game tape and see when he broke—the whole play was just really amazing. It was a great play.

November 21, 1993 ELECTRIC COMPANY HONORED
The Bills honored the 20th anniversary of the “The Electric Company” (the Bills’ offensive line) that helped RB O.J. Simpson gain 2,003 yards in 1973. The pregame ceremony was held prior to the Bills-Colts (Bills won the game, 23-9).
