Bills fans may disagree, but Stevie Johnson isn’t giving up the ship when it comes to Buffalo’s playoff hopes despite a 4-7 record.
“No, really we’ve still got action,” said Johnson after being asked if Buffalo’s playoff hopes would require a mathematical miracle. “I’m not going to say we’re out of it yet. I think we’ve still got action at being 9-7 and making the playoffs. We’ve still got to rely on other teams, but I seriously think we can still win out and make it to the playoffs.”
Ryan Fitzpatrick didn’t stick his neck out quite as far as his top receiver, but is committed to keep fighting for wins.
“It stinks,” said Fitzpatrick of being 4-7. “We knew that was a big game for us. It would have put us right in contention, really, right in the hunt. It’s dim, the hopes are dim, but there’s still a little bit of hope and we’re just going to continue to keep fighting and keep playing.”
Currently three other AFC clubs are 4-7, the Dolphins are 5-6 and the Steelers, Bengals are 6-5. With the win Sunday Indianapolis is 7-4.
