THIS DAY IN BILLS HISTORY
December 14, 1975 — BILLS SET NFL RECORD IN WIN
The Bills amassed 26 first downs to set an all-time NFL record for first downs in a season with 298. RB O.J. Simpson rushed for 185 yards in the 34-14 victory at New England, their ninth in a row over the Patriots.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
DE Shawne Merriman (via Kiss 98.5)
Q: Talk about your mindset coming back to the Bills and how that experience has gone.
A: For one, I looked at it as an opportunity. I know it is the National Football League and sometimes things are going to happen. Not necessarily because I was not wanted here but just because of the numbers we had and the people we had here. At the end of the day, I was going to be the odd man out. When I had a second opportunity to come back, I wanted to make the most of it. I think I have done a pretty good job of that so far.
