Chan on why no challenge on Stevie non-TD

There were a range of opinions on the Stevie Johnson non-TD play in the first half of Buffalo’s loss to Miami Sunday. After the officials ruled an incomplete pass Bills head coach Chan Gailey chose not to challenge the ruling on the field. Here was his explanation as to why.

“We talked about it on the sideline,” said Gailey. “If the ball rolls out it’s the Calvin Johnson rule. If the ball rolls out without coming up with it and giving it to the official, they’re not going to ever give it to you. So you’re wasting a challenge.”
