Report: Bills ask to speak with Jets DC

According to multiple reports the Bills have asked the Jets for permission to speak with Jets defensive coordinator Mike Pettine.

ESPN New York is the latest to report the permission request.

Confirmed that Bills have requested permission from Jets to speak with DC Mike Pettine for same position, as reported by @footballscoop.

Reports indicate that Pettine turned down the opportunity to sign a contract extension last month. The Jets defense has finished 1st, 3rd, 5th and 8th the last four seasons in total defense.
