A report out of New York indicates that Jets defensive coordinator Mike Pettine has been given permission to interview with the Bills.
Newsday is reporting that the Jets have said Pettine can interview for the Bills defensive coordinator post under newly hired head coach Doug Marrone. Pettine has been the Jets defensive coordinator since 2009 and his defense has always finished in the top 10. They largely play a 3-4 defensive system, which is the only system Pettine has run since he’s coached in the league.
No word at this point on when an interview will take place.
