The Bills have made no secret of their interest in drafting a quarterback this year. And they got right to work on digging into the background of each of them at this week’s Senior Bowl in Mobile.
In an appearance Tuesday night on The John Murphy Show at the Senior Bowl, GM Buddy Nix said the team’s scouts and Head Coach Doug Marrone sat down with all six quarterbacks Monday night to get background and insight into each of them. The group includes Syracuse’s Ryan Nassib, North Carolina State’s Mike Glennon, and Miami of Ohio’s Zac Dysert from the North squad, and Arkansas’ Tyler Wilson, FSU’s E.J. Manuel, and Oklahoma’s Landry Jones from the South.
Nix says he and his scouting staff typically meets with draft prospects each night at the Senior Bowl from 830pm to 1130pm. And it’s not just the quarterbacks, they’ll meet with all the different position groups.
And if that’s not enough, the Bills GM says they’ll conduct interviews with many of the same prospects next month at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
