Bills DE Chris Kelsay finished last season on injured reserve with a torn ligament in his neck. Now more than two months later the veteran has a clean bill of health.
The Associated Press first reported that Kelsay’s neck injury had healed on Monday. Kelsay confirmed for Buffalobills.com that he was examined by Bills doctors the week of the Senior Bowl in Orchard Park and was medically cleared.
Kelsay never needed surgery for the torn ligament that was sustained in a freak practice injury when Kelsay was hitting the blocking sled. He tried to return from the injury in Week 12 at Indianapolis, but re-aggravated the injury was missed the last five games of the season.
