BDC 2/15: Hunter’s Day of Hope Event 2/16

DAILY REPORT
–The 15^th annual Hunter’s Day of Hope & Prayer for Children will take place tomorrow, February 16^th from 1:00-4:00 in the Bills Healthy Zone Fieldhouse. The free event is hosted by former Bills QB Jim Kelly and his wife Jill.

–Bills RB Coach Tyrone Wheatley will be inducted into the 57th induction class for the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame on Monday, February 18^th. Wheatley was a 1993 Rose Bowl MVP for the University of Michigan and finished his college career with 688 carries for 4,178 yards and 47 rushing touchdowns which he held the record for until 2000.

–The Buffalo Bills announced yesterday that the team has released CB Terrence McGee. Buffalo also announced that the team has signed free agent QB Aaron Corp and OL Hutch Eckerson. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

“(Hunter’s Day of Hope) is very special to our family. As you mentioned John, the birth of my son on my birthday, Valentine’s Day, and then of course he passed away at the age of eight years old. How tough that has been, not only on myself but on my wife and my kids. The overall blessing that we had when he was here. We just want families to understand how important their kids are. The American Football League announced that it planned on increasing the regular season schedule to 16 weeks. In a nine-team league, that meant the AFL inserted a bye week for each team into its schedule.

Former Bills QB and Hall of Famer Jim Kelly along with his wife Jill will be hosting the 15^th annual Hunter’s Day of Hope celebration tomorrow at the Bills Healthy Zone Fieldhouse. The Hunter’s Hope Foundation was established in 1997 by Jim Kelly and his wife Jill, after their infant son, Hunter (February 14, 1997 – August 5, 2005) was diagnosed with Krabbe Leukodystrophy, an inherited fatal nervous system disease.
