There are a total of four Syracuse prospects here at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis this week, and while NFL clubs certainly want to get a better handle on all four of them, the three that aren’t Ryan Nassib are being asked a lot of questions about their college QB.
Syracuse offensive tackle Justin Pugh is just one example. Though he’s considered a day two draft choice himself he is fielding questions about Nassib when he meets with teams.
“Yeah, they definitely want to know about some of the guys coming out this year, Ryan obviously being one of the top guys,” said Pugh. “So I’ve definitely had to answer a lot of questions. But it’s easy to answer about Ryan. He’s a hard-working guy who just kind of puts his nose to the grindstone and goes. So it’s easy to just tell them exactly what he is.”
Nassib, who played under Bills head coach Doug Marrone and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, has been working with a pair of NFL stalwarts in preparation for the Combine and the draft.
