NFL franchise tag figures up from projections
Posted by on March 1, 2013 – 11:34 amThe NFL released a projected set of franchise and transition tag figures by position a couple of months ago. Today they released the official figures.
With the previously released figures only being projected numbers the greatest change between the projected figures to the actual ones below took place at quarterback position with an increase of $254K, defensive end ($195K) and cornerback (194K).
At safety, a position where the Bills could make use of the franchise tag on impending free agent Jairus Byrd, the franchise tag went up $118K from a projected $6.798M to $6.916M.
