The Dolphins certainly have the cap room to spend, so even though they want a true number one receiver they’re working hard to re-sign the wideout that served as their number one in 2012, even though he’s a better fit as a number two.
According to FOXSports.com, Brian Hartline is close to re-signing with the Dolphins. Hartline had his first 1,000-yard receiving season last year and was a valuable target for then rookie QB Ryan Tannehill.
Per the report Hartline is expected to land a deal in the neighborhood of $6-$6.5M per season.
The Bills need to add a proven outside receiving threat to allow top wideout Stevie Johnson to move into the slot where GM Buddy Nix has said they feel Johnson could be even more productive.
