Bills can split cap hit from Fitz release

The Bills released Ryan Fitzpatrick after 4 pm today to coincide with the start of the new league year. What that does is allow the Bills to make the quarterback a post June 1st designation.

By doing that the Bills have spread Fitzpatrick’s cap hit over 2013 and 2014 instead of absorbing all of it this year.
