He’s played for 15 seasons in the NFL, for five different teams.
And former Bills LB Takeo Spikes says of all the places he’s played, the Buffalo Bills have the best fans.
The free agent linebacker appeared on The John Murphy Show Thursday night, and anointed Buffalo fans as the best in the league.
“No doubt. For me, as a guy who has played in the South, and you play Friday night football, that’s what I compare it to,” he said. “Buffalo fans are the greatest. You look at all the weather conditions, and added on top of the weather conditions, you’ve got the record the team has had, and you still have sellouts. You still have a constant stream of people supporting you. As a player, I don’t think fans realize it, but that’s big for us. We appreciate it.”
Spikes is diving into football broadcasting, appearing on the Fox Sports South Show “The Panel” starting next week. He and other NFL players will interview some of the top prospects for this year’s NFL draft and give them advice about making it in the league.
But he still wants to return to the league to play next season, and he says he’s entertaining some offers one week after his release from the San Diego Chargers.
