Report: Cards not expected to draft QB at 7
Posted by on March 14, 2013 – 11:26 amThe Bills are certainly going to be in the market for a quarterback in the 2013 NFL draft, possibly as early as their eighth overall pick in round one. Following the Cardinals’ acquisition of free agent QB Drew Stanton, one reporter believes that Arizona will not use their pick at 7, one ahead of the Bills, on a quarterback.
That according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapaport.
Who will be #Cardinals QBs battling? Drew Stanton Brian Hoyer, and either Skelton or Lindley. Not expecting first-round QB selection.

The Cardinals have Stanton, John Skelton, Ryan Lindley and Brian Hoyer on their roster. They’re expected to move Kevin Kolb off their roster. Rapaport also points out that the quarterback coaching for the Cardinals has improved noticeably with Bruce Arians as head coach, Tom Moore as an offensive assistant along with QB coach Freddie Kitchens. So it’s providing a feeling that the young quarterbacks they have in the fold can be more effectively developed.
