With the signing of five tryout players by the Bills, Buffalo’s roster is fast approaching the 90-man offseason roster limit, but there’s still a bit of room.
Buffalo now has 70 players on their roster counting Jairus Byrd, who has yet to sign his franchise tender. Under the new CBA the offseason roster limit is 90, but unsigned players count toward that total.
That would leave the team with 20 vacant spots on their roster. Buffalo has six draft choices and would presumably also add some undrafted rookie free agents after the draft.
Draft choices even if unsigned count against Buffalo’s roster. Under the old CBA unsigned draft choices did not count toward the offseason roster total.
