The energy level was upbeat and players were buzzing around on the practice field in the team’s three-day voluntary veteran minicamp this week. Head coach Doug Marrone and his staff are now focused on refining player technique as it pertains to their schemes in all three phases.
“I think for us we’re going into a phase two. We can go with the players on the field and from a technical standpoint get better,” Marrone told Buffalobills.com.
Marrone and his staff plan to review the practice tape of this past week to assess what aspects of technique and form need to be addressed.
“It gives us the ability now to go back, look at it, see where we have to improve with each player,” he said. “Let’s not put too much in there. Let’s focus on maybe the top three things in our phase two and when we get out of our phase two and go into OTAs and put that tape on we see dramatic improvement for that player.”
Bills voluntary OTAs begin on May 13th.
