Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson is taking one of his many off-the-field passions to a new stage as he makes his debut as the host of the SJ13 Wrap-Up Show on Sirius XM Radio. The show, which launches on Sunday, April 21 at 1 p.m. EST, will feature Johnson playing his favorite hip-hop jams and giving his take on the world of hip-hop music and sports.
“Music has been a passion of mine since I was a little one growing up in Hunters Point, San Francisco,” said Stevie Johnson. “My stepdad Herm Lewis was a prominent producer and manager for several artists in the Bay Area rap scene. He showed me the way early on and my cousin, who is also an artist, taught me how to put music together with words and create a story and I’ve been doing it ever since. I’m excited to launch my show on SiriusXM’s Hip-Hop Nation to give my take on the best artists and songs that are out right now.”
You can tune in to the SJ13 Wrap-Up Show on SiriusXM’s Hip-Hop Nation, via satellite on channel 44, and through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App on smartphones and other connected devices, as well as online at siriusxm.com.
“We are thrilled to welcome Stevie Johnson to our great hip-hop programming lineup,” said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer of SiriusXM. “Music and sports fans will enjoy hearing one of the NFL’s hottest players sharing his favorite music, as well as talking about what is important to him in the world of sports and music.”
In the Sunday’s premiere episode, Johnson will give his take on Jay-Z’s new single, “Open Letter,” which teams he thinks look good in the NBA playoffs, and much more on the world of hip-hop.
