Mock Draft Watch: Final summary

Leading up to the 2013 NFL Draft, there have been 111 mock drafts tracked here at BuffaloBills.com from various media outlets dating back to December 12, 2012 through today. Below are some of the more interesting notes and trends from the 100-plus mock drafts tracked:

-21 different players have been projected to be selected by Buffalo

-Most frequent positions targeted by the Bills – Quarterback (53), Offensive Guard (22), Wide Receiver (12) and Linebacker (10)

-Most frequent players selected by the Bills – West Virginia QB Geno Smith (21), Syracuse QB Ryan Nassib (17), Alabama G Chance Warmack (12) and North Carolina G Jonathan Cooper (10)

-Since free agency began April 12, 66 mock drafts have been charted and Nassib has become the pick of choice with 15 mock drafts projecting Buffalo will select the Syracuse gunslinger

-Buffalo selecting an offensive guard has also been building a lot of steam, with Warmack and Cooper each having been projected to the Bills 10 times since free agency began

-First mock draft charted was on December 12, 2011 from ESPN’s Todd McShay selecting Notre Dame LB Manti Te’o for the Bills.
