Bills second-round pick Robert Woods had a monster game against Syracuse last season when Doug Marrone was still the Orange head coach. Woods was asked if he thinks it sold his game on Buffalo’s new sideline boss.
“I hope so,” said Woods shortly after being drafted by Buffalo. “I had a big game against Syracuse. Hopefully that was the marking point. Hopefully that was something he remembered. I want to thank him for making that selection and coming up and getting me. It’s just an honor to play football in the NFL.”
Woods had 200 all-purpose yards in that game. He made 10 catches for 93 yards, had a 76-yard run and a 31-yard punt return. He also had a pair of touchdowns.
