Even though Bills second-round pick Robert Woods played most of his college ball on the other side of the country at USC, the receiver knows Bills top pick EJ Manuel.
Woods said he actually tweeted a congratulations out to Manuel after the Bills selected him. Now Woods is his teammate.
“When he got drafted to the Bills I gave him a shout out,” said Woods. “It was one of those things where I’ve seen him on trips. I went to Dallas for kind of like an All-Star skills challenge. We’ve built a relationship and now we can grow it even more. I look forward to the opportunity to play with him. He comes from a winning program and hopefully we can do great things at the next level.”
Woods said in the times they’ve run into each other and spent time around one another he felt they got along well.
“I think we hit it off pretty good. I mean quarterback-receiver; we’re just trying to bond and make plays for each other,” Woods said.
