Bills DT Kyle Williams did not do any work in the spring practices, but that will change when training camp practices open later this weekend.
According to Bills GM Doug Whaley, Kyle Williams is set to practice after undergoing Achilles surgery to take care of a bone spur on his heel near the Achilles. It’s the same procedure he underwent on his left Achilles last year, though his right Achilles did not suffer the same damage as the left.
“As of now he’s full go,” Whaley said in a Friday appearance on the John Murphy Show. “I think they’re going to limit him in practice and ease him into it and not put too much on him right off the bat, but he is not going to be on PUP.”
Whaley also said he does not expect any other roster player to join Chris Hairston on Active PUP at the outset of training camp.
“As of now we do not expect anything or anyone else being placed on PUP, but you never know,” he said. “Someone might have tripped or had a pull coming into training camp so that’s why we have the physicals when they get here.”
