Bills OT Chris Hairston is the only player who will begin training camp on Active PUP. Being on Active PUP means the player can return to practice as soon as he’s medically cleared. Head coach Doug Marrone is hoping that’s sooner rather than later.
“I’m hoping that he comes back soon,” Marrone said. “I’m not a doctor, but I’m sitting there thinking to myself, my first question being can we pull that tag off at any time. As soon as the doctors feel comfortable with it we’ll get him out there and start working him in.”
Hairston missed a good portion of the OTAs and all of the three-day minicamp with an undisclosed lower body injury.
