Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine has demanded an attacking, aggressive, relentless defensive approach and through two games in the preseason he’s gotten just what he wanted. Even the players on the offensive side of the ball have taken notice.
“You can hear the hits from the sideline, and that’s something we haven’t had,” said Wood. “It’s a lot of the same guys as last year. They’re just playing with an attitude. We love watching it. That gives us a spark now. Earlier we didn’t do a whole lot with it, but they bailed us out a couple of times. Once we got rolling, we weren’t battling back from 14-0; it was 3-0. That’s huge.”
