Bills veteran RB Fred Jackson appeared to have a spring in his step in Friday night’s win over Minnesota. Jackson explained why.
Coming out of the last two weeks of camp a lot of the players were experiencing heavy legs. The wear and tear of camp can take the spring out of players legs. But once the worst of camp is in the rearview mirror players’ legs bounce back again. Jackson believes that’s what he had Friday night.
“It’s about fine tuning your skills to get ready for the season,” said Jackson. “I felt like I made a major step in getting to where I need to be going into the season. Hopefully I can continue to progress and get back to the way I was playing in 2011.”
Jackson averaged four yards per carry Friday night with seven carries for 28 yards.
