When he was put on Active/PUP it was thought that eventually Chris Hairston would be taken off that list to practice before training camp concluded on Aug. 21st. But that hasn’t happened yet.
Head coach Doug Marrone was hopeful that Hairston would be closer to a return, but it sounds at this point like nothing is definitive on a return.
“We’re looking forward to him coming back,” said Marrone. “Obviously for me as a coach and a position I’ve been involved with before we want him to come back. We’re just waiting to see when he feels better and the doctors say, ‘Yes.’ That’s a tough question for me to answer. Inside I want to say yes and that’s it’s going to happen, but it hasn’t. So it’s really going to be up to the doctor. We need to get him back. He’s been a productive player on the field.”
