Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com documented in an earlier post today that the Bills roster (as presently constituted) is the third youngest roster in the NFL.
The roster is at 51 right now, so the Bills can still add two more players. But as it stands Sunday afternoon, close to half of the Bills roster is made up of players in their first or second years in the league.
All eight 2013 Bills draft picks are on the roster. Two other rookies, CB Nickel Robey and QB Jeff Tuel, are also part of the active roster. The Bills have four other players in their first year in the league, and nine others in their second year.
When you add it up, it’s 23 Bills players on the current 51-man roster who are in their first or second years. That’s 45-percent of the roster makeup.
