Bills FS Jairus Byrd was not able to play in Sunday’s opener against New England. Suffering from plantar fasciitis in both feet Byrd is forced to wait for his feet to come around and return to full health.
“I’m just waiting on my feet honestly,” Byrd said Monday. “Whenever they get ready or get right that’s when I’ll be out there. I’ve got to be 100 percent to go out there and get ready to go. Once it’s ready to go I’ll be the first one to say I’m ready to go and get back in there.”
Byrd admitted that it is a frustrating injury.
“It’s something that takes time,” he said. “You can Google it and see what people prescribe for it like stretching and orthotics. But it’s just something that kind of takes time.”
When asked when he think he might be able to play Byrd was unsure.
“I can’t predict the future,” he said.
