The Bills and Panthers have not been close to reaching the playoffs the past two seasons. One of the biggest reasons why is both have been unable to pull out close games.
Since 2011, the two clubs haven’t had a lot of success in games determined by a touchdown or less. The Bills are 5-10 over that span including their Week 1 loss to New England.
Carolina has been even worse. The Panthers are just 3-12 in games decided by a touchdown or less since 2011.
