Bills CB Stephon Gilmore was a limited participant in practice Wednesday. When asked if he’s pain free coming off his wrist injury Gilmore offered the following.
“There’s a little pain, but there’s nothing that really hurt bad, bad,” he said. “The big thing is trying to get my legs back, backpedaling, turning and running and finding the ball.”
Gilmore practiced with a large club on his left arm protecting his surgically repaired wrist. He just got the pins removed from his wrist on Tuesday.
“It feels different,” he said. “With the pins in I couldn’t straighten my hand all the way back out. So when I got them out I can actually make a fist and do other things so it feels a lot better.”
At the same time Gilmore sounded a bit uncertain as to what his role might be if he plays Sunday. If he does he’ll be out there with the club on his arm.
“It’ll probably be awkward, but I’ve got to get used to it and play with it,” said Gilmore. “I’m going to listen to the coaches and do whatever they want me to do.”
