Glenn among top 10 tackles

Posted by Chris Brown on October 15, 2013 – 4:38 pm

Bills left tackle Cordy Glenn has gone largely unnoticed in Buffalo’s first six games, just the way an offensive lineman likes it. Glenn’s play has been pretty exemplary thus far this season, which is why ProFootballFocus has him rated as one of the top 10 offensive tackles in the game in 2013.

Glenn ranks as the eighth best tackle in football so far this season by PFF’s standards with an overall rating of 11.3. Of those ranked in the top 10, Glenn’s combination total of sacks (1), QB hits (1) and QB hurries (6) allowed (8) is tied for the second-fewest. Only Cincinnati’s Andrew Whitworth has a lower total with 7 combined sacks, hits and hurries and he’s played in only five games to Glenn’s six.

In fact Glenn has the highest snap count (459) of any of the top 10 tackles on the list making his low combination total of eight all the more impressive.
