C.J. Spiller did not practice on Wednesday, but was doing more work on Thursday as he gets ready for Sunday’s game against Miami. Stevie Johnson meanwhile went from a limited participant to a full participant Thursday.
“I think it’s one of those nagging things,” said Doug Marrone of Spiller’s ankle injury. “It’s not 100 percent, but I think it’s getting better and better and then you go ahead and play and then it goes back and forth. So we’re just trying to get it over the top where at least it’s feeling better than it did at this time last week.”
As for Johnson, he wanted to push his lower back injury and test it Wednesday. Going from a limited participant to a full participant one day later is a sign that the receiver is all systems go.
“He was ready to go yesterday so we didn’t notice any limitations at all,” said Marrone.
