Stevie Johnson certainly wasn’t the only player who sustained an injury in Sunday’s game. He also wasn’t the only one who returned to the game and gutted it out until the end.
“Most of us got banged up out there. We played through it,” said Johnson, who had seven catches for 72 yards and a touchdown. “We just got to get back healthy for this week and get ready for Kansas City, another tough team that we have to play.”
Johnson’s ailment was not disclosed postgame, but it appeared he was trying for most of the game to stretch his hip flexor and upper left quad in between series on the sideline. Johnson has had groin problems in the past. More details should be available after Doug Marrone addresses the media Monday afternoon at 2 pm.
