Buffalo’s most recent signee FB Evan Rodriguez was a former fourth-round pick of the Chicago Bears in 2012. Here’s a look at some of his receiving and blocking exploits in college at Temple University.
Rodriguez looks athletic in space. The one play where he executes three different blocks on one play to lead the back all the way down the sideline is pretty impressive. He also shows run after catch ability as a receiving target. Rodriguez appears versatile enough to work in an H-back type role.
His athleticism is further revealed in his 2012 Combine workout. He ran a 4.53 40-time, had a 36-inch vertical, a 9’9″ broad jump, a 6.94 second three cone drill and put up 18 reps on the bench.
