DAILY REPORT
– The Buffalo Bills were defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday 23-13 at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The loss drops the Bills record to 3-6 and they’re now 2-3 at home on the season. The offense was led by the ground game, which produced a season-high 241 yards on 38 attempts. Leading the way was RB C.J. Spiller who turned in his best performance of the season with 116 yards on 12 carries. He also had 39 yards on two receptions. RB Fred Jackson had 77 yards on 16 carries and had 22 yards receiving. Rookie QB Jeff Tuel completed 18 of his 39 attempts for 229 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions in his first career NFL start. His touchdown pass was a 59-yard bomb to fellow rookie, WR Marquise Goodwin. On the defensive side of the ball, LB Kiko Alonso again led the way eight tackles on the day. He also had a sack. S Aaron Williams also had eight tackles on the day and had one pass defensed. LB Jerry Hughes matched a career high with his fourth sack of the season. He also forced a fumble. Leading the way for the Chiefs was their defense. They took advantage of three Buffalo turnovers and turned those in to 17 points. They had two defensive touchdowns; a 100 yard interception return by CB Sean Smith and an 11 yard fumble return by LB Tamba Hali. The Chiefs improved to 9-0 on the season.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
C.J. SPILLER, Buffalo Bills Running Back
Q: How encouraging was it to see the team’s big-play ability, which has been missing from this offense?
A: Marquise Goodwin had a great day stretching the field. That’s something that we need. That’s something that we’ve been missing since I’ve been here, a guy that can back them safeties up. Like I said all week, I feel good. I feel like the spring is coming back. It’s still not back but it’s definitely very close. Today was very encouraging for me.
